Make Your Mark in the Park

$250 buys a personal message on a paving stone. This program supports replacing the asphalt paths in the park with granite paving stones that will be inscribed by donors who wish to publicly honor a friend, support a community cause, or simply express a sentiment.

Save the Shade

The Save the Shade Fund invites you to honor a friend or loved one through our tree dedication program.

Elm Watch

Members of The East Village Parks Conservancy have formed a group, Elm Watch, to carry on year-round monitoring of the elms in Tompkins Square Park. With regular watching, pruning, aerating, trenching, watering and mulching, Elm Watch has significantly reduced the loss of our elms to Dutch Elm Disease. Recently they have also taken on the Long Horned Beetle.

To join the group, contact Jane Sturtevant.

First Run Dog Run

The run is cleaned, decorated and maintained by volunteer supporters, who also sponsor various entertainment, activities and services for dogs and their owners including a Halloween Dog Parade, inoculation and licensing days, veterinary care and adoption.

Click here to find out more about First Run.

Clean-up Days

Fall and Spring plantings of annuals and bulbs, cleanup of planted areas, soil enhancement, and the addition of new flowers, shrubs, trees and ground covers following a professional landscape design.

To be put on our mailing list to hear about the next clean-up, contact Ellen.

Saturday Gardening

Every second Saturday volunteers get together to mulch, plant, water, aerate and generally give back to Tompkins Square Park.
